November 30 2002
We got engaged on March 17th on Rottnest Island and from that time on we decided that our wedding would have a beach theme, the colours therefore being blue and silver. The date was set for 30th November 2002.
The morning of the wedding was very relaxed, everybody turned up at the right time and the girls were running ½ early for the ceremony and had time to sit around and chat. On the way to the hall the girls were nearly passed by the guys who weren't running so early!!!
The ceremony was beautiful, the music, aisle walk and flowers
were just magic and ceremony given by Peter Schifferli will always
be remembered. All ran smoothly except for when Jared's ring was
put onto his right hand… oops!
Our photos were taken all around West Perth including Parliament House, the Old Yale School, Argyle Diamonds Building and Leonie's work (a restored old house in Richardson St). We enjoyed our photo session as we had a lot of time to relax and eat and laugh about the morning. Nothing seemed rushed and it was nice to have our whole family around us.
Our reception was held at Tawarri, on Nedlands Foreshore.
We
arrived ½ early and had time to freshen up and then have
hors'douves with the guests in the foyer. Our reception was definitely
the highlight of the day, the speeches, service, music and company
were awesome and we had so much fun chatting and laughing with
everybody. The night finished with the bouquet throw and then
everybody gathered around the car to say goodbye.
All in all it was the happiest and most memorable day of our lives so far and a wonderful beginning for a lifetime together.
